National Innovation Centre for Ageing

Purpose

To create and establish the National Innovation Centre for Ageing at Newcastle University*.

Solution

The National Innovation Centre for Ageing was formed following ideation, feasibility and design phase workshops between public, private and voluntary sector partners and Newcastle University culminating in the development of a greenbook business case to HM Treasury for investment.

Benefit

The Centre secured £20m capital funding from HM Treasury and along with a number of philanthropic donations officially opened in 2018 at The Catalyst building on the Newcastle Helix site.
