Invest in UK University R&D Midlands Campaign

Purpose

To evaluate the £3m Department for Science, Innovation and Technology funded Invest in UK University R&D Midlands Campaign programme.

Solution

A mixed methods approach was undertaken triangulating secondary quantitative and qualitative data sources with primary data collected from 3 focus groups, 12 interviews and 5 case studies.

Impact

The production of a robust programme evaluation of the Campaign, including the measurement of outputs and forecasting interim outcomes and long-term impact of the Campaign on the Midlands economy.
