Building local council analytical capacity for evidence use and evaluation in the North East

Purpose

To work in partnership with DataNet, Newcastle University and local and regional policymakers on the development and submission for Evaluation Assessment Funding call from the UK Government Cabinet Office. 

Solution

The DataNet project aims to develop and deliver regional analytical capacity through training in localised evaluation, advanced technical skills and ethical AI governance, supported by a practitioner networking for local authorities and policy institutions in the North East of England.

Impact

The project’s deliverables and impact is expected to generate a series of adapted evaluation training resources, an ethical AI guidance, a regional analyst community of practice, and advanced API workshops for policy analysts.
